A Little Magic
One of the ways we try to entertain Katherine at restaurants is to do "magic" tricks for her and make her toys "disappear." We cover her toy with a napkin, dramatically wave our hands over the item, say abracadabra and lift up the item with the napkin. This worked for a while - Katherine was quite amazed. Then she began to figure out the trick. So, we had to get a bit more sly. Anyway, usually the trick ends with the item magically coming out of her ear. Lately, Katherine has been doing her own version of the trick - everywhere - at day care with her food, in the bathtub with a wash cloth and her bath toys, everywhere. It's very cute - she covers her toy and then waves her hand and says something like "dabadabadaba" and then lifts the item in the cloth. She then puts the cloth and the toy up to her ear, making the toy reappear out of her ear.
Internet, Here We Come!

Well, here we are! We thought it was time we join the 21st century and our long list of friends who have blogs. Most of what we post will probably be interesting only to our family (and even that is questionable). We'll try and post mainly updated photos and details about our 19 month old, Katherine.
